Revelation: Pulling Back the Curtain

January 3 –

Filled with strange beasts, terrible villains, brave heroes, shooting stars and bowls of wrath, Revelation is a book in the Bible that many of us stay away from. It’s just so different, so weird. We wonder if it might just be about times that are somewhere in the future but not for us. But when we read the book well, we can find that God has a powerful message for us today through Revelation. Join us as we pull back the curtain and look at our world from the perspective of God’s throne room.

Don't Fall for Her

February 14, 2021

Sometimes Satan uses a stick (persecution) to try to force Christians to deny Jesus. But more often it seems that Satan uses a carrot to try to draw Christians away from Jesus. Sometimes Satan wants us to focus on all the shiny and beautiful things in this world so that we lose our focus on Jesus. This morning we’ll see the vision that John was given to remind us that nothing in this world is worth losing our souls for.

The Beast and its Mark

February 7, 2021

Ever feel that anxiety and struggle is a recurring reality? While Jesus is the Lamb sitting on the throne in heaven, here on earth we live in a war zone, a war with sin, with the world, and with the devil. The Dragon summons two of his offspring, two deceitful beasts. People are deceived and marked with the sign of the best, 666. Come explore this Sunday what we learn about our victory through the Victorious Christ we love and worship.

Sun Tzu once said, “Know your enemy.” He believed that when someone is against us, it is important for us to understand who they are and how they fight. In Revelation 12 and 13, John takes a break from describing the judgments that are unleashed on the world to give us an extended vision of the way that the spiritual forces of evil fight against God and His people. John calls us to know our spiritual enemies so that we can stay faithful in our battles.

Sealed and Sent to Love

January 24, 2021

The Lamb who is worthy is about to open the scroll which will unleash God’s wrath and judgment onto the world before all things are made new. In the midst of God’s wrath, who will be safe? Who is able to stand? John’s vision in Revelation 7 shows us that those in the lamb are able to stand! In a broken world, those who are in the lamb are sealed and sent to love.

Worthy is the Lamb

January 17, 2021

Last week we saw that God is all-powerful and is in control of all things. And we know that He has promised to make all things new. But how will this happen? How will God get rid of evil without destroying everything? This morning we’ll look at the answer to that question.

The Throne Room

January 10, 2021

In the midst of the very strange and uncertain times in which we live, God gives us an amazing gift. He invites us into His Throne Room to see that no matter what is happening in our lives, He is still in control. We may not understand it. We may not see His hands at work. But He is on His Throne, and we can trust Him

Back to the Basics

January 3, 2021

2021 begins with a fair amount of uncertainty and questions. We’re not sure about school or church or even going out to eat with family and friends. When we’re not sure what’s going to happen and we’re not sure what we should do, sometimes the best thing to do is to get back to the basics and focus on the things that matter most.
